Dobutamine Stress Echo Patient InstructionsWear comfortable clothing. It will be most convenient if you wear a top that is easily removed. You will be able to keep your slacks/ trousers on. Please remove your jewelry before coming in. Do not apply lotion or powder to your skin the day of the test. Please remove any nail polish. Do not eat or drink anything for three hours prior to the test. Take your regular medications as instructed by your doctor. In some instances, you may need to withhold certain medications but do this only if he has given you specific instructions to do so. Please inform us if you take medication for diabetes. It may be necessary to adjust the dosage to avoid problems with your blood sugar. Please arrange for someone to accompany you.
